Description of QALICB
Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation based in Austin, Texas, providing research and outreach. TPPF, founded in 1989, mainly focuses on research and promotion of education, healthcare, and effective justice reform.
Community Benefits
TPPF required a new office space to effectively advocate for its research and economic development interests for the state of Texas. TPPF used NMTC financing to move to a new 35,000 SF administrative office building, located two blocks from the Texas State Capital Building. The new office more than doubled its prior office space and allowed for a 100% increase in staff. The new office space also leases space to other non-profits. The project was supported by Attorney General Greg Abbott and allowed TPPF to expand from their original location in San Antonio, into the state capital.
